LANDSREC The high-resolution landscapes in rice meiotic recombination
To better understand the epigenetic and genetic factors involved in the distribution of meiotic cross-overs in order to establish a predictive tool for their occurrence for genetic analyses and plant breeding

The NitroSorg project aims to develop high-throughput characterization tools for the quality of sorghum grain, in particular the content and digestibility of proteins. The project will allow an assessment of the current variety supply and the development of selection tools. In addition, in vitro and in vivo digestion test for poultry feeding will improve our understanding of the mechanisms of sorghum protein digestion.

We are testing the use of phenomic and genomic tools to select progenies within integration crosses, i.e. between iconic and resistant grapevine varieties. In this context, the final goal is to select individuals which display the characteristics of their iconic parental variety while being resistant to diseases.

Supporting agroecology in the South and Southeast of Madagascar (AFAFI South program)
Facing recurrent droughts, the Androy and Anosy regions of the southern Madagascar are expiring chronic food insecurity. The Afafi Sud project aims through participatory, integrated and agro-ecological approaches to contribute to improve nutritional security and reduce poverty for rural populations in the south and southeast of Madagascar.

G2WAS. Drought tolerance in Vitis vinifera
The G2WAS project aims to study the responses of grapevine to water deficit on intra- and inter-annual scales, by integrating the dynamics of production, storage and utilization of carbon resources in both vegetative and reproductive systems. This study will be performed with a diversity panel designed to maximize the genetic diversity of the cultivated species (V. vinifera).

Since January 2019, a new European Union decree limits the amount of cadmium (heavy metal) authorized in chocolate products. The countries of the Andean region, already impacted by climate change, are, by the nature of their cadmium-rich soils, particularly concerned by this new legislation. The ambitions of this project are the identification, development and scaling up of solutions combining genetics, soil sciences and socio-economics to reduce the amount of cadmium in market cocoa, whose production has been strongly encouraged. by governments as a strategy to reduce rural poverty and / or drug-related conflicts.

Whether in medicine or in agronomy, the understanding of biological mechanisms of traits of interest is an important objective. In this objective, the project ISULO proposes the development of innovative statistical methods to identify relevant variables, from various types of -omic datasets, involved in important processes and to estimate their relations within one – omic dataset but also between different types of -omic datasets.
